Use the UW Libraries' catalog to find books and websites for easy importing. Importing references from Google Scholar: Visit the Scholar Preferences page and select the EndNote citation format in the "Bibliography Manager" section. Look for the option to export citations directly into EndNote from various databases, such as: Web of Science, CINAHL Plus, PsycINFO, and more.

Import the file into EndNote using the PubMed(NLM) filter. Note: While not typical, certain output styles (such as MLA) are configured to use the special 'Cited Pages' field as part of the citation template, enabling you to enter citation page numbers into the Pages field or the Citation Range in Pages 09.Consult the Bibliographic Styles section of your EndNote Manual for details. Center the word Footnotes at the top of the page. Footnotes may also appear on the final page of your document (usually this is after the References page). NOTE: If any records are checked, only those will be exported. When using the footnote function in a word-processing program like Microsoft Word, place all footnotes at the bottom of the page on which they appear. The file will be automatically named pubmedresult.txt. From the Send to menu, select File and change the Format to MEDLINE. Have all desired records in the display in the search results or clipboard view. Use EndNote and MathType Pages works with EndNote, a program for creating bibliographies and managing citations. For larger numbers of citations, use this method to capture all citations at the same time. PubMed limits exports via the Send to Citation Manager path to 200 citations at a time. The corresponding number will automatically appear at the end of your text, where you can write your citation. This will make the superscript appear in the text, where you placed your cursor. Under the References tab, click Insert Endnote.

#Using endnote with pages download#
If you are using your own computer, or a computer in a University office or lab, you must also download the plug-ins so that you can capture references from web pages, cite references in Word and help export references from databases into EndNote online (this has already been done on computers in campus computer rooms and libraries).
